It means a lot to me first step never be negative and never think about I hit a bad shot or anything going wrong be glad about bad shots if you hit most of them good loosen your hands up for a minute and keep learning forever and change your mistake up try new things to help that you trust when your practice on the range and on the course . What confidence is and means is trust yourself do your best and thank about the best things that could ever happen about what your doing and thank about it all day long for me I just want to be the best golfer ever for record and at every time period and when I swing the club I think about I’m the best golfer ever and I try my best and I check to make sure every simple part of my swing is right the more I’ve made mistakes and noticed them without complaining made me get better faster to chip I recommend decide what clubtake it back as far as you want decide how far you hit it break wrist and turn your body through with hands for 3 foot putts I recommend picking 1 out of 2 numbers in your head that determines how far you take the putter back I recommend picking about if it is down hill 3 foot 25 if it is up hill go 75 and do the same thing on longer putts just decide the speed to get to 3 feet away to hit a lag putt
and then hit it past that tee at 3 feet away that you can’t use in a tournament but you can when your practicing. For chipping hit every chip 3 feet away or closer
anytime you get to 3 feet away with a chip make the putt 1st try for reading speeds of chip here is a example 56 degree wedge goes 8 yards when it is high
When I hit it low it goes 5 yards and decide should I aim downhill or uphill and decide the height of the spin then reading the break is the same as a putt
a putt remember downhill means left to right uphill means right to left and remember to step on the opposite side of where it’s breaking and feel the grain when you mark the ball with a coin grain of grass gives you a idea of where it goes when you don’t know.
Matthew, I enjoyed this post. Your attitude about gratitude and not being negative is very inspired. I see how this has accelerated your improvement in your golf game. Do you think it also applies to other sports and even life relationships like a job that is not going like you want but it is something you still love?
I hope you keep writing and sharing your insights with others. Keep up the good work.
Good job Matthew! Keep sharing your thoughts!
