The Golf Scientist

The first RNS surgery was very painful the first day for me after the pain medicine got out of my system but I took some Tylenol to help the pain. After that it wasn’t too bad with the bone marker surgery. It felt similar to pulling the EEG wires out of my head. An EEG is when wires are glued to your head so that is what it felt like. You can’t pick up heavy stuff or play golf or have a hat on for a month. You may be feeling different than how I felt though because your surgery will be a little different.

  1. Hi! I am praying for you, and I hope your surgery is a big success! You are so brave. It really helps to hear your feelings about epilepsy. My son is 6 and he is unable to express his feelings about it, so it helps to read your experience/ emotions about it so I can understand what my son is going through, too! My son is having deep brain stimulation surgery Feb. 21, so it’s a little different but also a big surgery. Thank you for writing your blog and bringing awareness to epilepsy. Congrats, too, on your hole in one!! Golf is one of our family’s favorite sports and a fun way to enjoy nature. I hope your recovery is quick so you can be back on the golf course soon!

  2. You got this and will be back to playing golf in no time! 💜 I can’t wait to see how this helps you and hear about your journey!
